When I came out as bi my mum actually guessed without me telling her - and while she always pretended to be cool with it, she was a total bitch. She didn't baby me the way Patrick's mum does, though.

Do you mean that you thought before that Pete was still into Patrick, and this confirmed it, or that you thought he was and this disproved it?
