Heh. I just tend to think Pete's a lost little boy playing dress up, more than any of that.
He's still a teenager, at heart, mostly, being the cool one in his little group of nerds. Pete reminds me, in a way, of a slightly less horrific and rather more emo version of the kid in the Pretty Fly video.
